The Role
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer who:
- Will lead efforts to build, manage, and monitor our complex cloud infrastructure.
- Will help optimize our CI/CD pipelines, support Kubernetes deployments, and work to make our applications scalable and resilient.
- Will build and enhance our observability platform to provide insights into system performance and reliability, moving beyond simple monitoring to proactive intelligence identifying issues before they cause problems.
- Combines a strong sense of ownership and technical independence with a collaborative mindset.
- Enjoys partnering with development and R&D teams, solving problems at scale, and reducing operational toil through thoughtful automation.
- Will work closely with Pex’s Director of Infrastructure Engineering, taking ownership of key initiatives and stepping up to lead critical efforts as needed
You’ll also evaluate and introduce new technologies where appropriate and consistently embody the principles of DevOps in your work and interactions.

Our Infrastructure Engineering team is a fully remote, cross-functional, and autonomous team made up of talented engineers from various backgrounds and skill levels. About You
We value diverse experiences and nontraditional paths. What matters most is your curiosity, ownership, and ability to work well with others. To thrive in this role, we believe you should bring:
- Around 10 years of experience in SRE or related roles
- A proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure
- Deep knowledge of the POSIX ecosystem
- In-depth expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning with tools (such as Helm, GitOps)
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation with tools like Ansible
- Strong understanding of networking and TCP/IP fundamentals
- Experience with kernel and network tuning
- Clear and effective communication skills
- The confidence to ask questions, seek help when needed, and mentor others when you can
Bonus points if you are interested in or have experience with:
- Message queuing systems like PubSub, SQS, or Apache Pulsar,
- Time series databases (like InfluxDB, Prometheus, or Victoria Metrics)
